HydrantMP&W’s semi-annual flushing of fire hydrants removes minerals and sediment that build up over time and ensures that all fire hydrants are in good working order.

Low pressure, discoloration or cloudiness are possible following hydrant flushing in your area. Generally, this will clear up by running cold water for several minutes. Although the water is still considered safe to use during this time, customers should refrain from doing laundry when water is discolored and avoid running hot water, as mineral sediments can accumulate in your water heater.

Work will be conducted Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm. Daily updates showing approximate locations will be delivered via Facebook. Like us on Facebook to receive these notifications (http://wwww.facebook.com/MPWUtility).
