We’re proud to be a part of a local community, serving Muscatine area residents and businesses.
MPW proudly supports the Muscatine community through employee volunteerism, low utility rates, and providing services at no cost to most City public buildings and spaces. Our goal is to ensure our community has the resources and support required to thrive. We look forward to building upon our history of community support and making a lasting impact.
Our employees are vested in their hometown. You’ll find MPW staff participating or volunteering at school and sporting events, local events, and wherever people gather. These are just some of the local events MPW and our employees participate in:

MPW provides ways community members can support those less fortunate with their utility bills through programs like Project Share.
Preserving our area’s natural resources for future generations is one of MPW’s core values. With integrated and supported programs like electric vehicle technology, ChooseGreen renewable energy program, and Trees Forever’s “Branching Out”, we’re doing our part locally to positively contribute to our environment.
Muscatine Power and Water provides millions of dollars in direct benefits to the community like electric and water services to city and recreation areas, such as City Hall, Musser Public Library, Kent-Stein Park, and the Muscatine Soccer Complex.
Do you have a community-impacting awareness campaign, holiday, or special event you'd like to have the Muscatine Bridge (Norbert F. Beckey Bridge) lit up for, or would you like to keep attendees at an event hydrated with our hydration station? You can make those requests here!
